This case report shows that phenytoin‐induced gingival hyperplasia can occur in edentulous spaces within a dentulous arch. The hyperplasia may occur after removal of the teeth in a segment of the arch or it may not resolve following tooth extraction. Careful consideration must be given to these areas if prosthodontic replacement is planned.
