SUMMARY To reduce treatment time and muscle fatigue associated with scaling nonambulatory patients at their bedside, a garden sprayer can be adapted to deliver a constant supply of water under pressure to an ultrasonic unit. There have been no significant problems with this arrangement during the 3‐year period of use. Information about the manufactures of the products mentioned in this article may be available from the author. Neither the author nor the American Dental Association has any commercial interests in the products mentioned.
