SUMMARY Clinical hospital dentistry and postgraduate hospital‐based dental education unquestionably represem the cutting edge of the modern dental profession. Meeting the challenge of diversification and prudent business management requires the same intensity and excellence that hospital dentists have tradi‐tionally devoted to patient care and resident education.
