Gerontological nursing

Editor's note: The nurse is the most important person in a geriatric facility. The dentist working in a hospital or long‐term care facility is well advised to establish a close relationship with nurses who are perceptive and knowledgeable about the patient's dental problems and ability to accept treatment. Treatment success and patient cooperation often depend on the knowledge, concern and special efforts of the geriatric nurse.
