The dissection of cysts in the floor of the mouth is technically difficult. The dissection of a thin‐walled large ranula invariably results in rupture and as a result subsequent dissection and removal of the cyst can be difficult. We describe a simple method to allow for easier dissection of the cyst following rupture, which reduces the risk of damage to adjacent structures.
