Sentence‐completion methods have traditionally been used by professionals in a psychodiagnostic fashion. With some modifications, however, the author has adapted this basic framework to his work with sex/marital therapy cases; hence, the focus here has shifted to the therapeutic process itself rather than exclusively diagnosis. A sample set of instructions, a clinical example, and some additional sentences are provided to acquaint the reader with the actual process of sentence‐completion as a potential aid to therapists' normative therapeutic regimes. Finally, the author discusses the implications of new treatment modalities, such as sentence‐completion, to the overall therapeutic process.
