This article addresses itself to the opportunity and responsibility the marriage and family therapist has to educate the public through the media. The nature of our profession and the value of the individual practitioner are emphasized. Techniques for improving modeling and suggestions for developing useful contacts in media arenas are offered. The thrust is on the practical and basic uses of media in all ethically appropriate channels.
