The use of the Fundamental Interpersonal Relationship Orientation‐Behavior (FIRO‐B)inventory in couple counseling is viewed as a cooperative counselor‐client procedure that aids both counselor and client in conceptualizing interpersonal compatibility, specifying counseling goals, assessing behavior change, and facilitating an action oriented counseling process.
