. The psychotherapy of a ten‐year‐old boy whose mourning was inhibited by by massive isolation of affect is described. This impasse was overcome by the therapist employing a dramatic presentation. Discussion includes cognitive developmental factors, family influences and theory of effectiveness of drama.
