In the treatment of an adolescent in a psychoanalytically‐oriented ward a unique schizophrenic experience emerged which allowed for an interaction with the therapist through which we were able to learn of therapists’inner experiences in reaction to the suicide of a patient. The dynamic process of the schizophrenic experience is presented as well a as comparison of the therapists’descriptions of the feelings after the death of a patient with the feelings that arose in this treatment. Through these presentations we shall attempt to understand better the emotional, no of such an encounter.
