— The radiation output of a number of different types of ultraviolet lamps, used unfiltered or in conjunction with optical filters, has been carefully monitored over the first1–2 h after switching on. It was shown that the spectral output can change significantly, particularly during the first 1/2 h, when lamps are used with filters. This may lead to errors in dosimetry if lamp output is monitored inappropriately.
