SUMMARY: Ground Crotalaria goreensis seed fed to day‐old cockerel chickens at 3 different rates in a commercial ration of chick starter mash depressed growth rates. Moist faeces were common. Lesions consistently found included ulceration of the proximal large intestine and a dark grey discolouration of the glandular portion of the proventriculus. C. goreensis should be excluded from all poultry rations.
