SUMMARY A gilt subsequently found to have one ovary and one ovotestis exhibited two oestrous cycles with normal ovulations before lapsing into behavioural anoestrus. The testicular tissue of the ovotestis was not developed at the time of oestrus and ovulation. After it developed cyclic behaviour was abolished.
