Summary An attempt has been made to outline methods of dealing with the simple aspects of thoracic surgery in small animals. It has been emphasized that any veterinarian with average surgical ability can well perform this work with the minimum amount of equipment. Mention only has been made of the operation for removal of heart worms from the pulmonary artery. It it hoped at a later date to give a short account of this type of work.
