Summary.1 An account is given of an outbreak of a disease in lambs apparently resembling colibacillosis or “white scours” of calves. 2 Secondary infection of the meninges, however, appeared to be an important part of the disease syndrome. Lambs may have a comparatively weak blood‐brain barrier. 3 Several other cases of disease in lambs are briefly described. It is suggested that they also were caused by E. coll.
