A bstract : We have recently reported the development of a multiplex, real‐time quantitative polymerase chain reaction (PCR) assay for RhD zygosity determination based on the coamplification and quantification of RHD ‐specific sequences in relation to a reference gene, albumin . This paper discusses the optimization procedure and technical parameters of this multiplex assay.
