A bstract : This paper describes the main changes that have been introduced into the design of a new front end to be used with commercial impedance analyzers for the measurement of biological samples. This bioimpedance adapter has been specially designed to improve the accuracy at low frequencies and to increase the frequency range. The use of very accurate current conveyor circuits, together with the use of common‐mode negative feedback, leads to an improvement in the impedance measurements at low frequencies, reducing the effect of electrode impedance.
