A bstract : The subjective visual horizontal and vestibular‐evoked myogenic potentials are simple, robust, and reproducible tests of otolith dysfunction that can prove clinically useful diagnostic information in patients with vertigo and other balance disorders. While they appear to have high specificity for unilateral otolith dysfunction, further clinical research will be required to establish their sensitivity.
