This article is intended to summarize the state‐of‐the‐art of cryopreservation of biological organs by raising eight questions to be answered. Brief answers and comments are given to each of the questions. Although they never are sufficient for complete understanding of the phenomena occurring in cryopreservation, they might be useful for letting us know better what we sould do next.
