The general idea of determining cosmological parameters with gravitationallensing statistics is outlined, and then recent work---with an emphasis onapplicability to all cosmological models, observational bias, better statisticsand robustness testing through numerical simulations---is discussed withrelevance to a scheme originally introduced by Kochanek to avoid some of theuncertainties which plague other methods. The main result is that theobservations at present---and probably in the future as well---are moreindicative of intrinsic scatter than a hint of the correct cosmological model.Comment: 4 pages, one (1) self-unpacking uuencoded compressed PostScript file (created with uufiles) including figures, 98339 bytes, as PostScript file 238593 bytes, to appear in the Proceedings of the 17th Texas Symposium on Relativistic Astrophysics.
