The Standard Model 1,2 has been very successful, but it involves specifying many parameters including six quark and six lepton masses. Information about these masses comes from outside the Standard Model. In the present work, we present a model for the quark and lepton mass matrices which may lead to a better understanding of the systematics of the mass spectra for the charge −1/3 and +2/3 quarks and the charged leptons.
