A switch between oligodendroglial and astrocytic markers is reported in a glioma cell line.’ When interpreted collectively, studies of human gliomas in situ compared with serially passed and continuous cell lines from other gliomas suggest differences in abundance of glial protein and fibronectin.2-6 The present study was designed to determine the stability of populations of cells with glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP) and cells with fibronectin (FN) after explantation into cell culture.
