Whereas, in pursuance of the vote and proceedings of t h i s Corporation to change the corporate name thereof from “The Lyceum of Natural History in t h e City of New York” to “The New York Academy of Sciences,” which vote and proceedings appear to record, an application h a s been made in behalf of s a i d Corporation to the Supreme Court of the S ta te of New York t o legalize and authorize such change, according t o the s ta tu te in such c a s e provided, by Chittenden & Hubbard, acting a s t h e attorneys of the Corporation, and the sa id Supreme Court, on the 5th day of January, 1876, made the following order upon such application in t h e premises, viz: A t a spec ia l term of the Supreme Court of the S ta te of New York, held at the Chambers the.eof, in the County Court House, in the City of New York, t h e 5th day of January, 1876: Present--Hon. Geo. C. Barrett, Justice. In the matter of the application of the Lyceum of Natural History in t h e City of N e w York to authorize i t to assume the corporate name of T h e New York Academy of Sciences.
