Graptomyza ihai of the tribe Volucellini (Diptera: Syrphidae) was discovered for the first time in Korea. This species was previously described only from a single female specimen, but, this time, we were able to collect a number of Korean specimens with both sexes. We provide the descriptions of both sexes with discussion about their sexual dimorphism. This species is the first member of the genus Graptomyza recorded in Korea.
