The non‐depolarising muscle relaxant vecuronium bromide was administered to 20 dogs undergoing a variety of surgical procedures under general anaesthesia. An initial dose of 0–1 mg/kg was administered and followed by an infusion of 0–1 mg/kg/hour. Reversal of the neuromuscular block was carried out with neostigmine and atropine.
