The results of acupuncture treatment in 32 cases of canine cervical disc disease are reported with special reference to the outcome, follow up and recurrence. Acupuncture was an effective therapeutic method of treatment in about 70 per cent of the cervical intervertebral disc protrusions. It had no prophylactic effect on the recurrence of the symptoms.
