Five cases of swelling and ulceration of the foot pads in cats are described. The cause of this syndrome has not been determined but the laboratory and biopsy findings suggest that some underlying immunological process, possibly of an allergic nature, is involved. Although no treatment appears to be universally successful some cases resolve spontaneously but may recur.
