The lumbo sacral angle and the relationship between L7 and the sacrum was measured in dogs with and without vertebral osteophyte formation, including some exhibiting evidence of a significant lesion at the lumbo sacral level. It was deduced that these parameters did not vary greatly between the different groups of dogs, and were therefore not helpful in the diagnosis of disease. The use of myelography was also discussed.
