The formation of the crown of definitive teeth, the development of the definitive roots with the accompanying resorption of the deciduous roots, and the eruption of the definitive teeth, were individually analysed in 18 Dachshunds. Weekly radiographs were made from all dogs between the sixth and twentieth weeks of life, using techniques applied in the human dental clinic. From this data a table has been drawn representing the radiological evolution of the entire dentition in young Dachshunds.
