Three dogs with neurological signs were found to have functional pancreatic islet β‐cell carcinomas. The clinical picture was different in each case but all dogs were shown to have episodes of hypoglycaemia with concurrent inappropriate hyperinsulinism. The pathological and ultra‐structural features of the neoplasms, with the exception of one which contained large amounts of amyloid, were as described in previous accounts. The results of attempted cytotoxic therapy in one of the dogs are described.
