Eighty‐seven tumours were found in the central nervous system of seventy‐five cats. There were fifty‐two meningiomas, twenty‐eight lymphosarcomas, one ependymoma, one neurolemmoma, one astrocytoma, three pituitary chromophobe adenomas and one pituicytoma. Meningiomas were found to be the most common spontaneous tumours of the central nervous system, in agreement with previously reported data. Lymphosarcoma was found in the brain, spinal cord, and peripheral nerves. In this series, four tumours were found originating from the pituitary gland.
