— —A clinical survey of the condition of feline osteodystrophy as seen in Central Africa, with particular reference to 312 cases seen in the domestic cat in the Ndola district of Zambia, during the last ½ yr. Reference is made to the history of the condition in other parts of the world as well as in this continent, and the condition as it appears in Zambia is described in some detail. The value of this clinical data in determining the cause of the condition is discussed. Résumé— — Une étude clinique de la condition de l'osttéodystrophie féline telle que vue en Afrique Centrale, avec référence particulière a 312 cas observés chez le chat domestique dans le district Ndola, en Zambie, durant les 7½ dernieres années. Mention est faites de l'histoire de cette condition dans d'autres parties du monde ainsi que sur le continent, et la condition telle qu'elle apparait en Zambie est décrite avec quelques détails. La valeur de ces données cliniques dans la détermination de la cause de la condition est discutée. Zusammenfassung— —Eineklinische Übersicht über das in Zentralafrika beobachtete Auftreten von Katzen‐Osteodystrophie mit besonderer Bezugnahme auf 312 Fälle, welche während der letzten 7½ Jahre bei Hauskatzen im Bezirke Ndola in Zambia beobachtet wurden. Erwahnt wird die Entwick‐lungsgeschichte dieser Erscheinung in anderen Weltteilen sowie auch auf diesem Kontinent, während die in Zambia auftretende Erscheinung einigermasser detailliert beschrieben wird. Es wird der Wert dieser klinischen Angaben für die Ermittlung der Ursache dieser Erscheinung besprochen.
