The Theis solution is one of the most widely used ground‐water flow solutions for the prediction of drawdown caused by a pumping well in a confined compressible aquifer. This paper extends the classical solution with the consideration of information uncertainty of aquifer parameters. The goal is to present a simple and practical theory that can be easily utilized by practicing hydrogeologists.
