Electrical resistivity sounding is useful for solving a variety of ground‐water problems. To model apparent resistivities for a specific model requires one to evaluate a convolution integral. This calculation, using linear filtering, is rapid and convenient with a commercial spreadsheet. In comparison to traditional programming languages, the high‐level language and built‐in screen graphics provided by the spreadsheet save much programming time.
