Middle distillate prices in Europe have risen considerably in the run‐up to winter. Some seasonal strength is normal at this time of year as refiners and wholesalers stock‐up for the winter season, but prices have been boosted by a combination of other factors, including changes in product specifications in the UK, refinery problems, low stock levels and a decrease in exports of middle distillate from Russia.
