A larva erythraeid mite, Caecdisoma hununica sp. nov., specimens is described from Hunan Province, China. It is the first record of this genus from China. A key to the known larval species of Caeculisoma is provided. The holotype of the new species is deposited in Laboratory of Entomology, College of Environment and Resources, Central South Forestry University.
