Two new species of Forcipomyia (Forciponyia (Euprojoannisia) lingnatiensis and Forcipovtyia (Forcipomyia) cavatus) from China were described in this paper. Mandible of female F. (Eupro.) lingnanensis sp. nov. has no tooth, the third segment of maxillary palp is slender (PR more than 3. 5). aedeagus is characterized by its tip with hooklet. Antennal ratio of female F. (F. ) c auatus sp. nov. is 0. 80, pre‐and mid‐legs are pale, hind‐leg is partly brownish, and aedeagus has a chitinized sclerite at center.
