This paper deals with the genus Stomaphis Walker from China. Within this genus there are 9 species in China. Three new species, Stomaphis betulidahuricae Zhang and Qiao, Stomaphis pistacicola Zhang and Qiao and Stomaphis quercisucta Qiao and Zhang, two new recorded species for China, Stomaphis japonica Takahashi and Stomaphis ulmicola Inouye are described. Based on the data of 9 species from China, a key to the species with apterous viviparous females is worked out. Morphological descriptions, host‐plants and distribution are provided. All specimens including types are deposited in the Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences.
