Two species of Xorides ( Moerophora ) collected in the northeastern part of China, in which one is new to science, namely Xorides ( Moerophora ) tuqiangensis Sheng sp. nov., and one, X . ( M .) jakovlevi (Kokujev) 1903, is a Chinese new record, are reported. A key is provided to distinguish the Chinese species of this subgenus.
