An active component of the female sex pheromone of Chinese locust moth, Cydia Trash Meyrick, was identified as (E, E)‐8, 10‐dodecadienyl acetate (E8, E10–12:Ac) by GC, GC—MS analyses and microchemical reactions. The results of field trials showed that synthetic E8, E10—‐12: Ac was very attractive to the male moths.
