DREB is a family of transcription factors that function in coping with abiotic stresses. Chen et al. (pp. 640–651) showed using a GUS reporter line that the expression of DREB2 is strongly induced by heat stress. The heat shock‐induced expression is predominantly in young tissues and vascular bundles.
