SUMMARY Clone M3 apple leaves infected with scab (Venturia inaequalis) were dipped in one of a series of surface‐active compounds or mixtures tested at a concentration of 5% a.i. Seven of these reduced the concentration of scab ascopores released in the spring by more than 99%.
