Previous research on the Mononchidae has centred on the taxonomy and geographical distribution of the group. Observations of cultures of Prionchulus punctatus , maintained in the laboratory, have demonstrated the presence of feeding aggregations. A study of the dispersion of the nematodes within the soil has confirmed that this behavioural pattern also occurs under natural conditions. The results of this study were presented.
