SUMMARY Control of rooting medium temperature by using electronic controllers with thermistor or semiconductor sensors is described and compared with electromechanical sensors. Electronic controllers are advantageous in that they are versatile, and can more accurately sense and control temperature in the rooting zone itself. Such improved control may often result in higher percentage of rooted cuttings and in better root systems.
