SUMMARY The in vitro activity of a range of fungicides was tested on strains of Botrytis cinerea, Mucor mucedo, Rhizopus stolonifer , and R. sexualis. Di‐chlofluanid and dichloran were more active than the other fungicides against all of the strains of B. cinerea , while dichloran, dichlorophen and the dithiocarbamate fungicides were the most active against the Rhizopus species. Only dichlorophen and thiram markedly inhibited the growth of M. mucedo.
