SUMMARY The toxicity to rainbow trout of a mixture of zinc and copper sulphates in relatively low concentrations can be calculated from the toxicities of the individual metals by assuming that they exert a similar joint action. Higher concentrations of the mixture in soft water exhibit a synergistic action.
