S ummary .1 A description is given of a new virus disease of the top characterised by weakness of growth and by the presence of yellowish (chlorotic) markings on the leaves, accompanied by distortion of the lamina. The name “chlorotic disease” is proposed. 2 Two instances are recorded where the disease has been transmitted artificially, in one to a healthy plant by budding with a diseased bud, and in the other to a healthy scion by grafting it on to a diseased stock.
