An open poetic structure allows for an exploration of contemporary nursing, including scope of practice, historical impact, educational changes, and the challenges we face as we move into the future. To borrow a technique from qualitative research analysis, “live with” the imagery of the words for a time and discover what resonates as truthful, as well as what challenges a difference of opinion.
