The healing process for individuals experiencing post‐traumatic response does not end with the formal termination of therapy. It may need to be supplemented with support and follow‐up, short‐term therapy episodes. Healing can be facilitated by art therapy, which provides a useful medium for identifying and exploring changes in self‐concept, behaviors, and feelings.
