Women have recently been designated as the “at risk” group for HIV/AIDS infection. The author describes the advantages of doing health education with codependent women in group therapy to change risk behaviors. The assumption is made that as women take their learning home, share it with family and friends, and integrate safe sex practices into their lifestyles, the epidemic growth of HIV/AIDS can be undermined.
